Hybrid position-Candidates must live within driving distance of Dunedin, FL.

Purpose/Duties

This position processes, packages and closes Commercial and SBA Loan and assists where needed, loans $50,000 and under. Ensures a high level of member satisfaction. Must participate in training annually or as required for BSA and the Privacy Act.

Key Result Areas

  • Receive signed commitment letter and commitment fee, begin closing process; this includes preparing a Closing Checklist for all borrowers/guarantors, maintain the IRS 4506-T, Income Verification Express System - includes ordering the 4506T’s and verifying that all information on submitted tax returns is correct. Pull monthly invoices and pay outstanding balances to secure 1st Lien & titles.
  • Gather all necessary documents from Title Companies, realtors, previous lenders, and members to prepare loan documents for closing. Verify all information is correct and book loan into PCFS Loan Manager.
  • Fund and disburse all Business Lending Product loans, keeping all GL’s in balance. Understand the workings of GL’s and Wire Products.
  • Set up initial Spread sheet for all loans on draws
  • Advise SBA of any changes to Approval via a Modification memorandum (prepared by underwriter) responsible for receiving approval of all changes.
  • Take all vehicle titles to Department of Motor Vehicles to file & record ACU liens.
  • Accompany borrower’s to DMV as the bank representative to have titles transferred (acts as a Power of Attorney for the Seller)
  • Keep the Business Banker or CRM informed of all outstanding file items for ticklers and follow up.
  • PCFS Administrator back up. Has administrative rights for changing preferences and passwords.
  • Customer contact involves personally meeting, and heavy phone and email contact with members during the closing process. Aware that the way they are handled during this process affects any future business they will want to have done at the Credit Union. Identify potential cross-sell opportunities and appropriate services to fulfill the needs of the member. Assist all Members/borrowers/ guarantors before, during and after the closing process.
  • Responsible for Scanning final closing packages into Document manager in Ncino.
  • Department training of new hires.
  • Order all departmental supplies, verifying order when it is received; submit invoices to Purchasing for payment.
  • Demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to: U.S. Patriot Act, and Right to Financial Privacy Act.
  • Back up the Portfolio Manager, servicing business loans, portfolio management, payment posting.
  • Attend Training/Education/Webinars related to Documentation/SBA/ and closing practices.
  • Pay vendors, cut checks, and submit wire requests.
  • Attend assigned committee meetings for special projects
  • Answer incoming phone calls and direct to proper department/person
  • Responsible for upholding all credit union ethical standards.
  • Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Perform other essential job functions as required or assigned.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years knowledge in loan documentation is required, must know Florida Statutes in regards to filing appropriate documentation. Must choose the proper documentation for each loan type, without supervision.
  • Minimum 3 years SBA Closing & processing experience
