Small Bank in Montgomery County, Illinois, looking to hire an individual with lending experience as a Loan Officer to handle consumer loans, mortgages, and commercial loan processing, and to build relationships with business contacts and customers in the consumer market segments.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Loan Officer will need to build professional relationships with customers, prospective customers and community members based on mutual trust and respect. He/She will use understanding of customer goals, credit strengths and weaknesses to deliver constructive financial information to the customer.
• Determine and define the appropriate customer interaction and coordinate the appropriate staffing needs that may directly or indirectly be a part of the relationship to serve the customer’s loan and servicing needs.
• Communicates to the customer and to internal Bank team members regarding the customer’s needs.
• Introduces customers to the Bank’s process and the Bank’s service team that will support the process.
• Gather and document customer financial information and application details, in compliance with lending requirements.
• Interpret and evaluate financial information and ask appropriate follow-up and probing questions to determine the appropriate product and service.
• Recommend loan terms, conditions, and collateral positions consistent with the request and associated with loan risks, setting clear expectations with the customer and document pertinent customer information.
• Communicate credit decisions, loan terms and conditions to the customer.
• Manage disbursement process in home loan constructions projects.
• Some teller duties and management duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
