2 - 4 years college; B.S. Degree in Information Security is preferred
- Or 2-year certification from technical school with 3 years demonstrated skills in a high-tech environment, emphasizing skills in software/application management and networking
- 2 - 3 years of application level support
- 2 -3 years of networking support
- Experience with RedHat Satellite
- Experience with Zabbix
- Fundamental knowledge and experience in Linux/Unix operating systems and command line
- Working technical knowledge of common network topologies and hardware [i.e., adtrans, firewalls, load balancers, servers, etc.]
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks and troubleshooting tools
- Diagnose performance problems using available standard performance tools and system indicators
- In-depth knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, problem determination, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Superior analytical skills to assess and resolve issues in a complex technical environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and effectively to resolve client concerns/issues
- Strong attention to detail in a structured environment
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) Company or Facility background check and drug screening
