Job description

These positions will implement various eveidence based programs that lead towards the prevention of sexually transmitted infections. These interventions span the HIV Care Continuum and are inclusive fot eh common comorbidities associated with HIV. Specific interventions include client centered counseling, passport to partner services and ARTAS-based linkage to care for HIV, HPC, and PrEP. Conducting screenings and referrals for syphilis and gonorrhea are also required. These positions are responsible for cooordinating medical, prevention and other support services for persons with sexual transmitted infections.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with culturally and economically diverse populations, including people of color, gay/bi-sexual/transgender populations, and people living with chronic disease, substance users and persons with mental health diagnosis;
• Familiarity with public health program implementation and evaluations, motivational interviewing and strengths-based case management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of the twelfth school grade and one (1) year of experience interviewing and counseling individuals on issues/topics of infectious disease, sexual health, or another closely related area. Substitution(s): Four (4) college courses in a physical, natural, social, or behavioral science may be substituted for the required experience. A certificate of high school equivalence (GED) will be accepted in lieu of a high school diploma.

Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Positions allocated to this classification may require State of Ohio or federal certification or licensure due to the nature of, or the funding requirements for, the program.

Pay: $25.86 - $35.56 per hour
