Line cook (grill middle or Saut?) Job description
Position reports to ? Executive Chef, Ex. Sous Chef, and Sous chef
Principle Duties, Responsibilities, and Expectations
? Clock in and out in uniform, ready to work at all times while ON-the clock
come to work on time.
? Cook food to recipe or chef?s requirements, with the upmost quality of product, temperature, doneness, and plate presentation.
? Cook food in a timely manner: Lunch 10-15 minutes Dinner 20-25 minutes
? Set up your station with food prep, utensils, towels, and any other items needed for your station
? You will be required to prepare food for banquets and ala carte
? Prep food items according to the prep list, and banquet sheets
? Help put deliveries away as required and in the proper places.
? Clean your station as you work, keep a clean and organized station.
? Work on general cleaning projects as directed by the Executive and Sous chefs.
? Help-out on other stations including, dish washer, prep, pantry, grill, and saut?.
? You will be required to wash dishes on at particular shifts when needed
? Work in a friendly and positive manner always.
? Tell someone if you need to leave the kitchen
? You will be expected to do other things when asked outside of your normal realm of work.
