Raintree Community Association Lifeguard
The Lifeguard at Raintree Community Association Community Pool creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with Raintree Community Association policies and procedures. Always building effective, supportive working relationships with residents, their guests and support staff for the community pool.
Job Description
Provide a welcoming environment for all Residents and Guests
Opening and closing the pool each day according to scheduled hours
Communicate and enforce all Raintree Community Association pool policies and rules in a personable and professional manner
Performs all lifeguard duties, including ability to lift people out of pool, perform CPR, scan pool to ensure safety of participants. Responds to emergency situations immediately and completes related reports as required.
Guards actively scan the pool area and are alert to dangerous situations while sitting, standing, or walking for various lengths of time. Refrains from socializing while guarding including use of cell phone.
Maintain a clean pool environment. Dress and appearance are consistent with Raintree Association Community Pool standards including wearing your swimsuit, guard shirt, whistle while on duty.
Conduct pool inspections and complete pool chemical logs and report imbalances or concerns to the supervisor
Record daily participation numbers and complete daily cleaning assignments.
Attends Staff meetings as scheduled
Preferred Qualifications: Previous Life guarding experience
Prefer lifeguards 18 years of age and older; minimum age of 16
Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent (must include CPR/AED, First Aid)
Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with American Red Cross standards
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physically perform all skills required of a lifeguard.
Able to work and make decisions independently as well as in a team atmosphere.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Minimum Hours: 10-15 hour per week
