Job description
We are a comprehensive care model for families + kiddos with neurodevelopment differences; one unified team of clinicians delivers treatment programs customized for each child. The team is led by a Pediatric Neurologist or Pediatrician, which design and oversees the treatment program. The team includes ABA (BCBAs and Behavior Interventionist), Developmental Therapies (Speech, OT, PT and Music Therapy) and Counselors (LMFTs and LCSWs).
- Delivering direct client counseling services to families, couples, and children (patients, their parents, siblings and/or other stakeholders) through telehealth.
- Utilizing empirically supported therapeutic approaches that draw from a variety of disciplines and are tailored to the needs of each client. This may include Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused Collaborative Therapy, and others.
- Attending to relational ethics, while collaborating with others in the interdisciplinary team and the families we serve. Actively engaging other team members to ensure wrap-around support for the family and sharing of information and ideas.
- Participating in family care meetings with other providers, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You possess a master’s degree or doctorate in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- You possess a current unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist or a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Texas and have been licensed within Texas for at least 1 year.
- You are well-grounded in and knowledgeable in a variety of empirically supported psychotherapy treatment approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive and behavioral, postmodern/post-structural, social-constructionism, and narrative therapy.
- You have 1 year or more of experience working with children or families with developmental differences in a counseling environment.
- Obtain Mental Health Provider licensure in all state(s) where you are eligible and Cortica has a presence within 60 days following your hire date.
