POSITION SUMMARY: The LPN under the direction/supervision of a RN provides quality nursing care to residents by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Edith Kassanavoid Gordon Assisted Living Center. Performs a variety of direct and indirect duties within the scope of practice of an LPN. Participates in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of nursing care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in maintaining a physical, social, and psychological environment in the best interest of residents.
• Completes all nursing documentation/charting including updating care plans.
• Obtaining and administering medication and treatments as prescribed by physician.
• Documenting and reviewing medication and treatment plans for accuracy and compliance with physician orders, professional standards, federal and state regulations, and facility policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

REPORTS TO: The Administrator, Director of Nursing, and will be supervising Certified Nursing Assistants.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items weighing 50 pounds or less.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works indoors, exposure to bodily fluids, biohazards, needles. Emotionally stressful. Work Holidays and Weekends. Assist with Resident Outings and Activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Oklahoma.
• Must possess Health Care Provider CPR.
• Must possess a valid First Aid Certification.
• Minimum of one (1) year nursing work experience preferred.
• Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
• Interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
• Auditory and visual skills.
• Proficiency with computers to include Microsoft Office, Computerized Charting and Moderate typing skills.
• Must have a valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License and be insurable under the Comanche Nation Motor Vehicle Insurance.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical is required.
• Must be willing to work 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Friday and 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Saturday.
• Additional hours possible to assist with "call-ins".
• Part-Time basis

VACCINE MANDATE: Per CBC Resolution 150-2021, effective January 4, 2022, employees must be fully vaccinated by receiving one (1) dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine or two (2) does of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines.
