Opportunities for growth. Therapists and Counselors are supported in obtaining and maintaining clinical licensure through in-house clinical supervision and reimbursement for licensure fees. We encourage a healthy work/life balance by keeping schedules flexible and caseloads low, with a focus on quality of engagement and services over quantity of billable hours. We offer a generous paid leave package that includes two weeks of paid vacation in the first year (increasing over your tenure to more than five weeks per year!), plus two weeks of paid sick time, two additional floating holidays, eleven paid holidays (including Juneteenth, Veteran’s Day, and the day after Thanksgiving), and a paid winter break that occurs the week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

What you’ll do as a School-Based Therapist:

• Meet with school-aged children and their families, providing trauma-informed, strength-based clinical interventions targeting individualized, collaboratively developed treatment plan goals. Services provided in schools or an agency office.
• Coordinate services with other relevant providers and develop appropriate referral plans.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation, including assessment, service notes, and other Medicaid-required service documentation, using web-based client services platforms.

Who you are:

• You have at least a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field, and an Illinois clinical license (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Experience with an evidence-based or evidence-informed treatment modality, such as Theraplay, the ARC framework, or other trauma-informed practice preferred.
• You are skilled at communicating both verbally and in writing, in English and Spanish.
• You are able to meet with families in their homes or other community-based locations, and you have a valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• You are comfortable providing telehealth services as needed.
• You are an intuitive, nonjudgmental listener who easily builds relationships built on respect, trust and positive regard.
• You are warm, flexible, and hold a strong belief that generational trauma can be healed through counseling.
• You are detail-driven, highly organized, and enjoy working autonomously but are also excited by big-picture outcomes and the opportunity to innovate and collaborate with a team to reach shared goals.
• You are looking for reflective, clinical supervision and opportunities for growth and training in your field.

The details:

• Location: Hybrid (school-based/office-based). Therapy services provided at West Park STEAM Academy and Morrill Elementary School, with agency office space available at both our Marshfield Ave. office and our Western Ave. office.
• Schedule: Full-time, salaried; general business hours with some flexibility for evening appointments as needed to accommodate client schedules.

• Staff are be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to submit proof of their vaccination status before their start date unless they have an agency approved medical or religious exemption.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: Range starts at $58,000 for licensed bilingual clinicians; offers are commensurate with experience.
• Clinical licensure: Licensed clinicians receive reimbursement of licensure renewal fees.

• Winter Break: The agency is closed between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. This paid break allows staff to spend time with their families around the holidays without using their accrued time off balances.
