Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Food Service Liaison to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Liaison is the face of nutrition services throughout the hospital. This important role helps educate patients about the menus, delivers meals to their bedsides and makes sure coffee and nutrition stations throughout Mountain View Hospital and Idaho Falls Community Hospital are always stocked.

Please note benefits are based on eligibility according to full-time, part-time or PRN status classification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help patients in the hospital with their meals by delivering menus, answering questions and assisting with placing orders
• Deliver meal trays to patients in a friendly and timely manner and provide any assistance they need with their food
• Fully stock nutrition stations, waiting areas and doctors’ lounges each day, rotating food in a First In, First Out manner and pulling expired products daily
• Participate in continuing education, trainings and maintenance of Food Handlers’ Permits
• Help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, employees, and hospital guests

• 
  High school degree (or equivalent)
• Food Handler’s Permit (required within 90 days of employment)
• Excellent customer service skills are required. Must be able to interact with patients, customers, staff and other hospital guests in a friendly manner
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner following safety and sanitization policies
• Ability to use and/or learn basic computer programs and electronic tablets
