Highland Preschool in Carlsbad Village is hiring open-minded, creative educators who show enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to grow. These positions have flexible start dates, but preference will be given to applicants who can join early June or sooner.

We are looking for full-time, experienced educators to join our team:

- Lead Educator, Kinder-Prep classroom (ages 4-5, up to 8 kiddos with 1 educator). Full-time. The kiddos in this classroom have consistent schedules; the daily roster does not change.

- Lead Educator, Kinder-Prep and Preschool mixed classroom (ages 3-TK, up to 8 kiddos with 1 educator). Full-time. The kiddos is this classroom have irregular schedules; the roster changes daily.

Position Details
- We follow a shift rotation, where educators alternate between opening (7:45am-4:15pm) and closing (8:15am-4:45pm) shifts.
- Applicants must have at least two years of experience leading a classroom in a play-based environment and have a demonstrated history of working independently on planning/executing provocations, creating classroom documentations, maintaining daily parent communication, holding parent-teacher conferences, and engaging the children in thoughtful dialogue using open-ended questions, while displaying a team-centered mindset.
- Mornings and rest/relaxation time is spent on your own in your classroom (with support from Floater), while outdoor play and lunch will be combined with additional educators and classrooms (ages 3-TK).
- Both positions require a full school-year commitment (August-June).

Requirements
- 2 years' experience leading a play-based preschool classroom

- CPR/First Aid certified (possible to re-certify after hiring)
