We're looking for a Lead Systems Designer to join Snap Inc.
What you’ll do:
  • Create, evangelize and execute a vision for the visual future of Snapchat
  • Seek out and utilize emerging technologies
  • Design Systems and set the vision for visual language for all of Snapchat
  • inspire the team and the company with your vision for the future of the product experience
  • Build and lead a team of results driven visual designers
  • Build strong relationships with leadership, product, engineering and design and play a strong role in influencing overall product direction
  • Define process and practices for developing features with product design
  • Oversee the development of a visual language for in-product look and feel (including UI, Illustration, Iconography, etc)
  • Architect large, ambitious, and often ambiguous, design projects that will set precedent for the rest of the company.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 10+ years of design experience
  • 4+ years leading design teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your design work and demonstrating a high level of composition, typography, layout, and concepting
  • Experience using Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other design tools
  • Experience developing cohesive visual systems
  • Experience leading medium to large sized design projects through launch
  • Experience developing, documenting and implementing a visual language
  • Experience working with both internal and external partners
  • A strong perspective on culture and popular design
  • Knowledge of product design process
  • Experience with 3D and AR
  • Brand / Agency design experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of product strategy
  • Knowledge of basic development practices
Compensation:
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.
  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC)
    : The base salary range for this position is $230,000 - $335,000 annually
  • Zone B
    : The base salary range for this position is $219,000 - $318,000 annually
  • Zone C
    : The base salary range for this position is $196,000 - $285,000 annually
This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
