HCA Solutions is seeking qualified applicants for Lead Shipper/Packer Handlers for the Department of Veterans Affairs, located at 5th Ave and Roosevelt Road, Building 27, Hines, IL. This is a full-time contract position. Excepted start date is 04/01/2023.
Shift - 6:30am - 3:00pm and 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday through Friday
The Lead Shipper/Packer's duties consist of the following:
Assists in the filling orders.
Assists in processing supply, testing kits, monoclonal antibody treatment, and vaccine orders.
Communicates with multi-disciplinary staff and patients.
Performs administrative duties such as answering and directing incoming calls, handling faxes, making copies, scanning documents, etc.
Is able to use Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Assists in the shipping of orders in WebVision and packaging orders for shipment via UPS, as well as, receiving shipments via various parcel services.
Assists in conducting and managing the pharmacy inventory.
Triages orders appropriately.
Able to lift 40 pounds, bend, reach, stand and walk to perform job duties.
Assists in triaging, transcribing, and filling of prescriptions, filling vaccine orders and filling bulk orders.
Performs other duties as required.

In addition to the above duties, the Lead Shipper/Packer will supervise a number of Shipper/Packers.
Shipper/Packer Lead - In addition to meeting the qualifications at paragraph, Shipper/Packer Leads shall have three (3) years of managerial experience doing work of a similar nature. Shipper/Packers leads shall have demonstrated experience in directing work assignments for other contractor staff, communication skills and interpersonal skills for effective peer interactions. Shipper/Packer leads shall be able to be cross trained to cover other assigned areas, as needed.

Shipper/Packer job requirements:

• Proof of all vaccinations, including COVID-19
• High School diploma/GED
• Interpersonal communication skills
• Basic typing, computer, and MS Office
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart, sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours)
• Lifting totes up to 30 pounds repetitively
• Understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste

**In addition to the above requirements, the Lead Shipper/Packer must possess 3 years or more of supervisory experience in similar work.
