Our Team:
Medidata is looking for individuals who will help us tackle some of the most complex questions facing the industry today using our proprietary platform and advanced analytics. At Medidata, we never work alone. This role will partner heavily with all of the key stakeholder functions including product, delivery, data science, engineering, partnerships, and biostatistics. Successful Medidata AI candidates will be skilled in analytical/quantitative thinking, structured communication, and excited about building the next horizon of Medidata’s mission to power smarter treatments and healthier people.
Who We're Looking For:
The Lead Business Analyst would be assigned to the development of Medidata Detect, an analytical platform product that supports comprehensive data and risk surveillance during clinical trial execution. Medidata Detect is a modular tool that serves multiple operational teams providing deeper insight via AI/ML, embedded visualizations, statistical approaches and advanced analytics. We’re looking for someone who has:
- Understanding of clinical research processes and general data management concepts
- Have the ability to gather requirements by working with multiple stakeholders including business users, development teams and product owners and translate them into actionable tasks for the development team.
- Experience working with product development teams and Agile methodology to prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Comfortable analyzing complex data sets , using advanced analytic tools to identify trends, patterns and insights that inform product development.
- Understanding of software development processes, software development life cycle and technologies such as API, microservices and cloud computing as well as familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems and propose solutions to challenges that arise during product development.
Requirements (Education & Experience):
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience in product development
- Experience working with and Product Managers and Engineering Teams
- Experience in additional programming languages and/or industry experience is preferred

As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $114,000-$153,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $121,000 - 162,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Area is $113,000 - $151,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $101,000 - $135,000
The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $102,750 -$135,000
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
