Job Description:

Urban Greenscapes is currently seeking a hands-on, detailed, and team-oriented Landscape Operations Manager who will lead, train and develop landscape teams. The Manager will oversee operations as the team creates, implements, and maintains commercial projects for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Installation, maintenance, and monitoring (visual and “wet checks”) of irrigation systems.
• Pricing/bidding of installation projects (both renovations and new installations).
• Installation and maintenance of landscaping materials, plants, and trees.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
• Scheduling – daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal planning.
• Computer literate – Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Communicate with, and supervise the pest control contractors to ensure the highest level of care.
• Manage, maintain and replace equipment as required.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage, mentor, and support Landscape Supervisors and Techs.
• Hire and train new team members to provide stellar landscape designs.
• Ensure that goals are met or exceeded on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Ensure quality assurance levels are met and exceeded.
• Help create a team environment that rewards achievement, ensures learning, and makes individuals want to come to work each day.

Requirements:

• The position is based in Gainesville, Florida and the candidate must be able to commute to the office and job sites.
• 2+ years of experience as a Landscape Manager, Landscape Supervisor, Landscape Contractor, Crew Leader, or in a similar role.
• Preferred 3-5+ years of overall related landscape and management experience.
• Positive personality, with a high level of emotional intelligence to communicate at every level of the organization, prospects, clients, and team members.
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Superior customer service skills to role model for the team and enhance client satisfaction.
• A true zeal and passion for landscape design and exterior curb appeal (appearance and health), striving to be “Disneyesque”.
• Knowledge and understanding of irrigation systems, plants, installation, bidding, and maintenance.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Strong organization/prioritization skills; proven ability to consistently meet goals and consistently exceed expectations for sales and service.
• Ability to work well with others and possess the initiative to source out new clients.
• Possess and maintain a State of Florida driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation to travel within the work zones.
• Candidates must successfully pass Urban Greenscapes' background process.
