Britton & Associates Inc., an upscale full service Design-Build-Garden Management firm in Dallas, Texas, seeks a highly motivated, degreed landscape architect.
Must be able to work well with residential clients, developers, and contractors on a variety of projects.
Knowledge and ability to place a strong emphasis on unique detail in construction and planting with an eye for superb quality are also required.
Strong interpersonal skills, sales experience, and a degree and/or experience in horticulture are a plus.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture required. Higher level in related degree is a plus
Skills:
-Strong design and technical skills
-Ability to create conceptual and presentation documents with relevant graphic support
-Broad knowledge of hardscape and landscape construction methods
-Strong knowledge of relevant plant material
-Ability to design both large and small scale projects
-Must be able to work individually, as well as in a team environment
-Must be able to handle all aspects of projects from conceptual design through construction
documentation
-Must possess estimating experience
-Ability to select appropriate materials for use in landscape designs.
-Ability to confer with engineers, builders, and other contractors to understand a project
-Ability to inspect landscape work to ensure it adheres to the original design intention.
Qualifications:
5-10 years’ experience in high end residential market or related field
Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and Excel
Strong hand graphics skills
Landscape Architecture: 7 years
Portfolio of built work
