Lakota Solutions, L.L.C is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Motor Vehicle Mechanic (Forklift Maintenance Technician) to support a contract in Corpus Christi., TX. The Forklift Maintenance Technician will perform planned maintenance on electric, diesel, and propane forklifts and make minor to major repairs.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of forklifts.
• Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed.
• Troubleshoot forklift problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions.
• Able to diagnose and repair mast and attachment components.
• Working knowledge of brake system and tire/wheel changes.
• Ability to work on electric, gas and diesel systems.
• Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/ or order replacements for major repairs.
• Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
• Perform safety inspections for forklifts prior to being released back to the work area.
• Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
• Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements.
• Maintain an organized and neat work area.
• Competent to complete service documents and logs for preventive maintenance tasks.
• Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.

Experience Required

• (2) Two or more years' experience in related field, including maintenance of various lift trucks
• Manufacturing, automotive, military or recent trade school graduates with applied skills
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug screen
• Must be a US Citizen
