Overview of Position

The Wellness Connection of Maine Labeling and Packaging Coordinator is responsible for all WCM product labels and packaging. The Labeling and Packaging Coordinator is responsible for ordering and maintaining the inventory of printed labels and product packaging. The Labeling and Packaging Coordinator is responsible for the accuracy of the printed labels and should have a complete understanding of WCM’s label coding, branding, and compliance requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Manager and Marketing team on label creation/design
  • Works closely with Product Manager to ensure all product packaging remains compliant
  • Familiarity with WCM label coding
  • Understand and implement WCM branding requirements; examples include design details such as font size, font type, alignment, etc.
  • Source compliant packaging and labels for all new products
  • Work with labeling software to design, modify and print labels as needed
  • Understand and have the ability to operate the labeling equipment
  • Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot labeling and packaging equipment
  • Print labels as required to support business needs
  • Order and maintain packaging and label inventory
  • Maintain inventory for printed labels and product packaging
  • Works with Processing Operations Manager to ensure proper supply of packaging is provided to meet daily/weekly business needs
  • Using discretion when determining if additional help from the Processing team is needed in order to meet production demands
  • Effectively communicate with both our internal Facility Maintenance Team and vendors’ technical support teams as needed to ensure proper functionality of equipment
  • Interact with WCM’s external packaging and labeling partners to ensure all aspects of packaging and labeling comply with the Office of Marijuana Policy requirements
  • Actively engage with internal and external teams to coordinate and resolve issues
  • Complete paperwork by following WCM standard operating procedures
  • Conducting training as necessary in an effort to have multiple employees that are able to carry out labeling and packaging functions
  • This position may also perform other duties related to the successful operation of the Company as requested by the Production Manager and/or Director of Production Operations

Qualifications

Education

· High school diploma or GED

Work Experience Required

· Work history showing progressive responsibility, willingness to accept additional projects or challenges

· 1-2 years in a production environment

Physical Requirements

· Extended time standing, sitting, walking, bending, and reaching

· Close visual focus required

· This position occasionally requires the extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers

· Must pass a drug test and background check (state mandated)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
