Thomas Cuisine is hiring Part Time Kitchen Diet Aide for The Eating Recovery Center in Northbrook! Flexible shift hours pending schedule openings. Shifts will be on TH/FR/SA/SU-we have AM hours and PM hours. Work from 1 shift to 4 shifts per week pending your availaiblity and our scheduled needs. Must be 18+ years of age.
Great student job or supplement to a FT position.
The Kitchen Assistants will be responsible for the direction and guidance in collaboration with the Chef Manager and Food Services Director for the overall production of food to include: implementation of systematic production methods, standardized recipes, portion control, menu development, and purchasing requirements. Carrying out assigned responsibilities, the Lead Line Cook must comply with all client policies and regulatory agencies in an eating recovery center.
Starting at $16.00+/hr with based on experience +
Part Time schedules available; Flexible!
Complimentary Meal when on shift.
Must be 18+ years of age.
Who you are and what you will do:
- Previous cooking / culinary experience; preferred, but will train the right attitude!
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
- Follow café guidelines concerning guest services, food, and physical safety, equipment/space cleaning requirements at all times.
- Prepare food items, ensuring consistency and compliance with the Cafe's recipes, portioning, cooking, and waste control guidelines.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Great work/life balance
- Scratch based food preparation, preferred
- Joining a tenured and experienced culinary team
- Chef-driven concepts and progressive training
- Professional kitchen environment experience
