GENERAL SUMMARY:

We are seeking a hardworking, energetic, and creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our PPX Hospitality Brands marketing team. This position will primarily be responsible for concepting, designing, and editing an array of print and digital projects and ensuring the brand identities (Smith & Wollensky, Legal Sea Foods, and Strega Italiano) are cohesive across all channels. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and creative designer with a strong eye for typography, design, and layout, is passionate about graphic design, and must be proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, PowerPoint and other MS Office programs. This individual must be comfortable working under pressure and have the ability to both follow direction and work under their own initiative.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, edit and produce restaurant menus, sales collateral, marketing materials and digital assets.

Develop identities, logos, graphics and collateral for new brand initiatives.

Collaborate with outside agencies and marketing team on restaurant campaigns and collateral based on marketing briefs and business needs. Work with operations & culinary teams, marketing, and production partners to obtain relevant information, technical requirements, and timelines for each project.

Own assigned projects from concept to design to production, maintaining brand standards and pixel perfect work.

Stay current on trends in design, menu layout, digital best practices, and print production efficiencies.

Collaborate on creative initiatives to create digital comps, presentations, and mood boards that reflect our unique brand personalities and objectives.

Support with creative concepting for all seasonal photo/video shoots, editing and file versioning.

Support company key initiatives like asset management, growth and development presentations, field communications and other business projects with creative needs.

Weekly Marketing Team meeting attendance, agenda planning and inter-company communications.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Knowledge of and passion for design basics, thinks strategically and creatively.

Refined sense of typography and visual storytelling skills.

Strong concepting and design skills menu layout a plus.

Excellent time-management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects, managing timelines and expectations.

Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office & PowerPoint.

Experience with web development, animation and video a plus

MINIMUM EDUCATION & TRAINING:

Bachelors degree or BFA in Graphic Design or a related field.

1-2 years of digital/design experience.

Experience in the food service or restaurant industry a plus

Position is primarily office based with ability to work from home up to 2 days per week, when in-person attendance is not necessary or possible.

Travel may be required on occasion when field presence is necessary for specific creative projects, not to exceed more than 25% of weekly schedule.
