Job description
The Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Journeyman Maintenance Millwright to work at our Charleston Mill Services location in Huger, SC. The Journeyman Maintenance Millwright will perform maintenance duties in the plant and pit such as installs and repairs to machinery and plant equipment. Must perform all functions in a safe manner

We provide steel mill services, flame cutting and treatment, road building, logistics, laboratory testing, and a variety of other solutions for our customers.
Pay: $24-30/HR depending on experience and skillset
Shift: 7am-4pm M-F

Responsibilities
The Journeyman Maintenance Millwright will:
- Reading blue prints
- Performing lay-out work
- Welding
- Fabricating
- Inspecting equipment to diagnose defects
- Dismantling and reassembling equipment
- Repairing machinery and equipment
- Testing repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency
- Erecting equipment
- Assisting in other duties as assigned
- Record keeping and reporting
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Using hands to manipulate tools
- Sitting, standing, or walking for extended period of time
- Tolerating noise and temperature variation
- Crawling, bending, kneeling, stooping
- Climbing
- Working at elevated heights
- Manipulating components in hard to reach places with hands or tools
Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- Advanced welding / burning skills
- Ability to read blue prints
- Advanced mechanical skills
- Ability to read and write
