As a Job Developer your responsibilities include:
Assist individuals with obtaining competitive employment that closely fits their vocational goal and abilities- Cultivate employment opportunities with employers in the community and maintains awareness of local job market, employers’ needs and expectations.
- Proactively market job development programming and individuals to employers in the community.
- Provide Job Seeking Skills Training to Individuals.
- Maintain regular contact with employers to monitor individuals employment outcomes/satisfaction and retention.
- Represent Active Day at trade shows, forums and other appropriate venues.
As a Job Developer your
qualifications include:
High School degree or equivalent required, college degree preferred.- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation: You will be required to use your own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage.
- Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP™) required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Developmental Disability agency and/or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Prior Case Management experience strongly preferred
- Strong ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
