InnoVet Health, a small and growing business that provides health IT professional services to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), is looking for a Java Developer – Mid Level. This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. On our team, you’ll help customers overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches like microservices, domain driven design, or n-tier.

The position offers stimulating projects, in a rich healthcare environment. It is full-time and does not require relocating (work remotely). The pay, benefits, and growth potential are competitive.

Responsibilities

Using Java technologies and Agile life cycle development, you’ll build and sustain vital applications for the Veterans Administration.

You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of experience as a software developer or software engineer
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, Java Beans, JSP, JMS, J2EE, Spring, Boot, Hibernate, CSS, DHTML, HTML, or XML
• Experience with Swagger Specification
• Experience with containerization tools Kubernetes or Docker
• Experience with Jira or Maven
• Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs, including SOAP, REST, or RPC
• Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• HS Diploma or GED

Nice If You Have

• Experience with FHIR standard
• Experience with Ruby
• Experience with AWS, IaaS, and PaaS
• Knowledge of 508 Compliance requirements
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks
• Bachelor's degree
• SAFe Certification

Salary: 105k+ based on experience
