Job Description

The ITM Specialist/Finance Information Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration and support of solution-oriented financial systems applications for GDLS Finance utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) technologies. This is an operational role with the opportunity to grow in responsibility through demonstrated technical and problem-solving ability.



Responsibilities:

  • Serve as main point of contact between Finance and IT stakeholders for related systems and reporting (Oracle EBS, OBIEE, etc.)
    • Oversee the analysis and resolution of technical issues impacting financial systems
    • Point of Contact to perform and coordinate testing efforts for all upgrades and new programs impacting our financial systems (including any patches)
  • Act as primary DRM (Data Relationship Management) administrator to manage compliance with GDLS data governance policies including support of inbound/outbound interfaces with other systems (OBIEE, Oracle, etc.), version management, year-end rollover, coordination of upgrades/enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide backup administrative support for EPM (Hyperion applications) including Direct Planning (Current Estimate & Operating Plan) and Cash Forecasting.
  • Review and approve access/service requests to support SOD (Segregation of Duties) for multiple Financial systems.
  • Manage SOD and SOX-related activities for defined applications to support quarterly/annual audit reviews to ensure compliance with controls.
  • Develop and update desk instructions and system documentation as required to facilitate operational support across FIS team members.
  • Develop/revise user training materials and conduct training as necessary to support end-users.
  • Look for opportunities to create and improve business and operational processes.


Position
Requirements:

  • B.S. in Accounting/Finance, Information Systems or Computer Science
  • 5-7 years of experience with reporting tools (e.g. Cognos, OBIEE or equivalent)
  • Proficiency with computer applications including relevant software applications such as MS Outlook and Office, as well as Excel and Powerpoint, and preferably: Oracle EBS (or similar ERP), Oracle EPM or related systems.
  • Prior experience with Financial and/or Accounting applications & processes
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills and ability to develop positive working relationships with customers and peers
  • Excellent analytical and research skills and strong attention to detail

Additional Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with one or more of the following is desirable:
  • Oracle EBS
    • Oracle Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4
    • Oracle Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.4 (BSO/ASO)
    • Oracle Hyperion DRM 11.1.2.4
    • Oracle Smartview
    • Oracle PL/SQL
  • Experience in Aerospace & Defense, Government Contracting preferable
  • Prior experience with Budgeting, Forecasting, Financial Reporting or Accounting applications
  • Prior application development or administration experience
  • Prior financial analysis experience
  • Prior project management experience
  • IT SOX audit experience
