About the role

Join our IT Support team in Greenville, SC and be responsible for maintaining and developing Paxton's IT infrastructure. You'll be the first point of contact for IT issues, and provide excellent support to business users in a fluid, fast-paced environment, and collaborate with a small team to support remote workers.


Join our

  • Assist with the administration of the company’s IT infrastructure, maintaining helpdesk ticket records for all assigned faults and issues, providing first line support in hardware, commercial applications and network issues and requests.
  • Deal with second line support issues as far as possible and ensure appropriate escalation to other IT resource if unable to resolve in a timely manner.
  • Liaise daily with our United Kingdom team and third-party companies over repairs and support as required and maintain appropriate stocks of computer consumables.
  • Conduct the installation of hardware and software as required, ensuring the licence compliance is adhered to.
  • Provide end user coaching regarding PC based packages such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Undertake any IT project-based work that is within scope of expertise.
  • Conduct user and system administration as required and manage any other reasonable ad-hoc duties that are requested, ensuring changes are documented appropriately.
  • Conduct and take responsibility for the daily backup routines and their validation.
  • Ensure all IT asset movements are recorded in the extranet correctly and where appropriate, inform the Finance team of fixed assets.
  • Produce and update systems related documentation.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong customer service focus, with knowledge of knowledge of computer systems, software, and applications.
  • Qualified in CompTIA A+..
  • Some previous experience providing IT Helpdesk Support.
  • Proficient in Active Directory and Microsoft products and operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of network troubleshooting.
