We are seeking a Senior IT Financial Analyst to be a key contributor in our efforts to effectively and efficiently manage IT Financials. This role helps operational leaders make critical business decisions through their financial and analytical expertise. This role is responsible for managing a typical annual budget of $100m+. Duties include facilitating the annual IT Financial plan, forecasting, reconciliation of actuals, providing long-term/strategic modeling, developing proforma models for proposed investment projects, and the execution of other ad-hoc analysis related to Cash Flow, as well as relationship management with IT Leaders and their Financial Liaison, Finance, Sourcing, Purchasing, Accounts Payable and HR. This role participates in strategic and operational process improvements while working with CCL IT and other departments and brands.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Financial Planning: Coordinates and manages the annual financial planning by working with IT Leaders and their respective Financial Liaisons to develop, analyze and present the annual budget. Communicates financial deadlines and ensures compliance. Conducts executive reviews, publishes updates, and manages issues to closure. Creates PowerPoint presentations that are informative and engaging and delivers them to various audiences including executive management. Understands and can communicate the context (benefits, justification, and history (YOY) of IT financials.
  • Financial Forecasting: Manages the financial forecasting process in accordance with the IT and Finance deadlines by providing financial management, oversight, and analytical guidance to IT leadership. Reconciles actuals and provides expense trending and variance explanation of ongoing cost as well as new initiatives to Finance and Senior Leadership.
  • Ensures IT adheres to all Carnival Financial policies and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Leads vendor selection, contract renewals and requisition to invoice activities. Manages the review and reconciliation of goods and services regarding contracts, P.O.s, and invoices, and ensures accurate internal accounting of costs (capital vs. operational). Manages the accrual process and ensures accurate reporting.
  • Automation: Assist in the selection, requirements, design and testing of tools and reporting (i.e. scorecards, KPIs) developed by the BI team. Performs system/user admin for financial tools (i.e. Daptiv, Apptio, Cloudability, etc.)
  • Process Improvement: Works with the IT and our business partners to identify and implement process improvements. Implements and leverages tools to improve automation, accuracy and reduce overhead. Constantly looks for ways to reduce administrative overhead for IT leaders.
  • Analytical Leadership: Lead in providing complex financial analysis and communicating gathered insights to all levels of management in a simple and understandable approach. Extract and assimilate data, as well as coordinate flow of information to complete projects and ad hoc requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS, IS, CS or related field is required
  • Master’s in finance or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting or related roles in a large corporate environment
  • Background in IT and/or the Cruise Industry will be considered a plus
  • Mastery with financial statement analysis
  • Must be able to critically think, problem solve, and perform root cause analysis under ambiguity
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented with a strong business sense
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and achieve effective results
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Adapts readily and easily to changes and has the drive to challenge the limits of their professional skills
  • Excellent communication, team building, conflict management, organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications in U.S. English
  • Global perspective - accustomed to doing business around the world and comfortable working with professionals with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, including remotely
  • Strong experience in financial planning, project planning, and team leadership
  • Ability to document coherent and concise financial reports
  • Ability to create PowerPoint presentations that are informative and engaging and deliver them to various audiences including executive management
  • Experience conducting meetings and documenting/distributing meeting minutes and action items
  • Ability to review contracts and statements of work for accuracy and relevance

The range for this role’s base salary is $75,000 - $90,000. Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
