Septagon Construction is currently seeking hard-working, highly motivated, and responsible candidates to join our growing team of construction professionals.

Ironworkers are responsible for the layout, installation, assembly, and steel erection components in accordance with blueprint plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. The desired candidate will have a willingness to work in high places, have a good sense of balance, and be alert to potential danger to themselves and others. This position will be based out of the Septagon warehouse in the specified location you apply for but could require occasional overnight stays while working on projects which are out of town.

Responsibilities:

• Comfortable working at heights of 30 feet or greater.
• Safely operate and tend to equipment/machines/tools used in ironwork construction.
• Install metal building doors and windows.
• Rig loads and shake out steel.
• Set up and tie off safety cables and warning lines on roof or decks.
• Read & understand blueprints, erection drawings and manifest specifications as required.
• Maintain high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
• If applicant is unfamiliar with any responsibilities above, they would need to possess the willingness and capability to learn the tasks.

Experience:

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of ironworker construction experience. Must possess knowledge of steel erection techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Must be competent at construction math.
