SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:

Butte Fence is looking for an Inventory Manager to join our local team here in Meridian! This person will ensure the success of fencing projects through effective purchasing and inventory management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Position may include additional functions not listed.)*

• Forecasts inventory needs based on business trends, purchases and manages inventory levels, and purchases equipment and special-order items.
• Negotiates appropriate terms with vendors, resolves vendor product issues, and nurtures effective vendor relationships.
• Acts as Sage 100 Software superuser and creates POs, posts receipt of goods, processes inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
• Coordinates receiving of materials.
• Oversees annual inventory count.
• Assists with yard oversight and layout.
• Collaborates with sales management on pricing and ensures company profitability.
• Proposes strategies to reduce costs and manages supply chain logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Inventory Management or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• An analytical mind with strong math skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (physical, environmental, travel, etc.)

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Combination of office setting, production floor, and on occasion job sites
• Availability to work additional hours or weekends as projects demand
• Occasional travel may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $34,312.15 - $91,999.65 per year
