Job Summary:

The Operations/Inventory coordinator will be the backup for the dispatch and responsible for drum and shuttle Inventory.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Backup for dispatch with the ability to schedule drivers for pick-up and delivery; selects the most efficient routes for each driver.
• Oversees supplies and order product as required.
• Consolidates orders into truckloads for specific destinations.
• Backup maintaining radio and/or phone contact with drivers; receives and dispatches response and emergency aid when needed.
• Maintains reviews billing and places orders for the operation department as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Carrier freight PO, and fleet truck cost factoring application
• Post-production record archival

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes.

· Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers’ compliance with direction and assignments.

· Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs to facilitate efficient routing.

· Proficient with or able to quickly learn dispatch and recordkeeping systems.

· Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure.

· Thorough understanding of shipping industry.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or related field preferred.

· At least three years of related experience and execution of similar duties in operations required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer and walking the floor.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
