Ralph Moyle, Inc. was founded in 1966 and is a family-owned and operated transportation and warehouse specialist based in Mattawan, MI. We are currently seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team!

The Inventory Control Specialist maintains software that tracks all maintenance and parts required. They will manage parts inventory including ordering, receiving, and storing parts necessary to complete jobs. The Inventory Control Specialist will assist and report to the Fleet and Facilities Manager.

Inventory Control Specialist Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage parts inventory including ordering, receiving, and storing parts necessary to complete existing jobs and replenishment of stock items.
  • Prepare parts returns and warranty processing.
  • Maintain tire inventory.
  • Open and close purchase orders.
  • Act as super user for the Maintenance software.
  • Assist in the coordination of repairs with the Maintenance Techs, Drivers, and their Dispatchers.
  • Enter records of all outside on the road repairs into our system.
  • Maintain necessary equipment records.
  • Provide phone support.
  • Reconciling of monthly vendor billing to actual parts usage.
  • Maintain FIFO and Kanban systems to optimize inventory levels.

Minimum Qualifications of the Inventory Control Specialist:

  • Business Degree or 5 plus years of comparable experience.
  • Knowledge of Kanban and inventory management theories.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
  • Strong computer and keyboard skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detailed with the ability to handle a group item with a similar string of numbers and/or letters.
  • Willingness to accept responsibility self-motivated and works with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., carrying, pushing and/or pulling. Mobility including standing, walking, kneeling, and crouching based on location of parts.

The location of the parts room is between the bays of the building. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
