Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. Community Regional Medical Center measures up with top hospitals nationally and is the 3rd largest in California! With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.

Responsibilities:
The Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned inventories through daily, weekly, monthly and annual physical counts, replenishment sourcing and seeking alternative sourcing for supplies when needed. Monitors supply usage in perpetual and expensed locations, adjust par levels, and removes and disposes obsolete or outdated products. This includes all patient care and procedural departments within the organization. Organizes and leads stockroom teams in conducting periodic inventory counts, adjustments quantities and locations and reports discrepancies to leadership.

Accountabilities

1. Provides daily accountability to supply inventories, monitoring usage, flow and sourcing.
2. Analyzes product usage and adjusts inventory and par levels to optimize inventory levels.
3. Analyzes and anticipates supply needs based on season, allocations and/or backorders to Inventory Manager and customers.
4. Monitors and performs all additions, deletions, changes or other data points to perpetual inventories and par locations.
5. Responsible for integrity and data management in the Infor Lawson system.
6. Responsible for all sourcing changes and to ensure the sourcing change is appropriate based on contracts.
7. Monitors all inventory related Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and makes analytical changes to reach KPI goals.
8. Independently makes decisions and takes action regarding supply shortages, keeping management informed, and/or makes recommendations based upon analysis of information.
9. Sets-up and implements approved product conversions from the Value Analysis teams and/or committees.
10. Monitors, makes recommendations and takes action on slow moving inventory.
11. Monitors, makes recommendations and takes action on overstock.
12. Assists in and maintains current Supply Chain Management Information System database.
13. Runs and analyzes data for inventory optimization projects. Works with clinical department leadership to approve changes to supply carts. Formats data and sends to inventory optimization team to build out supply carts.
14. Reviews and takes action on all assigned Tableau dashboards.
15. Responsible for identifying root cause and coming up with recommendations for inventory quality issues to leadership team.
16. Responsible for accessing and stocking medication rooms throughout the hospital. Complies with all policies while accessing the medication rooms and prevents unauthorized users from accessing the room while stocking.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education
  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, Finance or Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred
Experience
  • 2 years of inventory experience in healthcare, manufacturing or retail required
  • Experience in the healthcare industry or a healthcare setting preferred
Licenses and Certifications
  • DL - Valid California Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Community Medical Centers required
  • CMRP - Certified Materials Resource Professional preferred
