Lehmann Eye Center is seeking an experienced, highly motivated & dependable Insurance Verification Specialist with at least 1 year of experience. This is a great opportunity for a candidate looking for long term employment with a well-established and growing practice.

Position Description: Facilitate, coordinate, and verify insurance authorization for new patients and maintain verification for currently active patients.

Major Areas ofResponsibility:

• Verify insurance benefits and co-pays for all new patients.
• Monitor referrals for all patients
• Review and explain financial benefits with patients when needed.
• Obtain precertifications/predeterminations and authorizations
• Additional responsibilities as required by management.

Qualifications:

• Professional with at least 1 year of insurance experience in the medical field
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent organization and communications skills.
• Ability to work with all coworkers, physicians, patients
• Candidate must also be able to multi-task various duties and be highly organized in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, we value individuals who are reliable, positive and possess a team player attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
