Insurance Verification/Authorization Specialist

Millennium Medical Management is seeking an experienced Insurance Verification/Authorization Specialist who is reliable, organized and detail oriented. If that's you, keep reading.

Job Summary

Responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to following set company policies, collecting patient information, verification of insurance benefits, submitting and obtaining authorizations for scheduled appointments, informing patients of the responsibility for their appointment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in utilizing a computer, internet and word processing programs (REQUIRED)
• Attention to detail, ability to follow through (REQUIRED)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (REQUIRED)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills (REQUIRED)
• Minimum of 1 yr experience in a similar role (REQUIRED)
• Prior Insurance Verification experience in a medical office (PREFERRED)

• Prior Authorization experience in a medical office preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (PREFERRED)
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and administrative processes (REQUIRED)
• Knowledge & Understanding of HIPAA (REQUIRED)
• High school diploma or equivalency (REQUIRED)

Job Duties

• Schedule patients in a timely manner, gather patient paperwork for patients chart.
• Knowledge & Understanding of Insurance plans and authorization processes
• Confidentiality process, track, and maintain charts in a timely fashion
• Knowledge and Comprehension of required patient forms (consent for treatment, etc…)

• Team player willing to take on additional duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
