The MWRA is seeking an Instrument Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic metering equipment and other instrumentation. The work includes performing precision calibrating, troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining electronic metering equipment, gas monitors, differential pressure instruments, transmitters, and recorders; monitoring electronic equipment performance and recommending repair or replacement; participating in a preventive maintenance program for metering equipment; participating in the troubleshooting of malfunctioning instrumentation and recommending repair or replacement; assisting the field supervisor by keeping complete and accurate records; assisting the field supervisor with the maintenance and upkeep of all tools, materials, equipment and vehicles ensuring a safe working condition; following all MWRA safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment; maintaining a daily log of work performed; maintaining all tools, materials, equipment, vehicles and facilities in safe and orderly condition and; performing plumbing duties related to metering.
The position requires a high school education; a vocational certificate in electronics and; a valid driver's license.
