Major/Essential Functions
The College of Media & Communication at Texas Tech University is seeking a part-time, non-tenure track, Instructor to assist with the teaching mission of the college. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. Service duties include program-building, as well as a commitment to extra-curricular activities. Service to the department, college, university, and community is expected
Part-time Adjunct Instructors may teach online, terrestrial, or hybrid courses as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Terminal academic degree (or its equivalent) as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Ability to teach effectively. This position will be classified as Security Sensitive and requires a criminal background check if selected for employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should have demonstrated evidence of or potential for teaching excellence and an ongoing commitment to serving a diverse student population.
