JOB DESCRIPTION
Strategic Kids Instructional Assistants take direction from the Special Education Classroom Teacher and assist elementary school, middle school, high school, or Adult Transition Program (ATP) special needs students with autism, learning disabilities, or other health impairments during the school day.
EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have experience working or volunteering with children, such as babysitting or helping in classrooms.
CURRENT WORK SCHEDULES
Staff can work 1 to 5 days per week and do different schedules.
✓ W 8:30pm - 1:30pm, Th 9:00am - 2:00p
✓ T 9:00am - 2:00pm W 9:00am - 12:00pm
✓ W 9:00am - 12:00pm, Th 9:00am - 2:00pm
✓ Tu/Th 10:00am - 2:00pm
✓ M 9:00am - 2:00pm
✓ M 9:00am - 2:00pm
✓ W 8:30am - 1:30pm
WORK LOCATIONS
Elementary/middle/high schools and Adult Transition Program (ATP) in Irvine
HOURLY RATE
$19
PAID MILEAGE
$10 per day if driving more than 15 miles one way from home to the assigned school.
JOBS IN OTHER CITIES
There are also 3.5 to 7 hour work day Substitute Teacher Aide jobs in Special Education classes at elementary, middle, and/or high schools in cities from Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo to San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente.

SUMMER WORK
After finishing the school year, there will be opportunities to work summer school, from Teacher Assistant jobs to Enrichment Instructor (LEGO, Chess, Cartooning, Origami, Magic, and Sports) positions throughout Orange County.
