Catapult Learning is a provider of K12 contracted instructional services to public and private schools throughout the US, specializing in at-risk youth and students who are struggling; we are a company with over 40 years of excellence in education.
We are seeking a full-time Instructional Aide to join our growing team for the 2023-2024 school year.
The teacher aide will be responsible for working with one or more students to deliver instruction and support. This role will provide teaching support in a Danville, VA non-public elementary school. Every child deserves to reach their full potential and we are looking to hire an exceptional instructor aide who will play an essential role in fueling student success.
Responsibilities
- Understand and acclimate to the various teachers’ routines in order to provide classroom support.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of material or skill initially introduced by the Teacher.
- Assist with maintaining records of students’ daily progress in accordance with school’s management system and Catapult's attendance system.
- Assist with parent communication.
- Support and document students’ growth and progress towards academic goals.
- Supervise students and ensure they are always monitored, including to and from appropriate locations within the school.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe academic learning environment for the student.
- Assist other staff with students when needed, when applicable.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- College experience and/or Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Experience working with students.
