About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist in Asset Servicing as part of the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Operations division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.

This group is responsible for managing and controlling high levels of risk and liability inherent in the Asset Servicing process. We must provide outstanding service and create an environment that maintains its focus on serving our clients while constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency.

In this role, you will:
  • Process all aspects of the lifecycle of Asset Servicing events, for all asset classes and across all markets.
  • Work with external custodians to process allocations from our custodians to our clients.
  • Manage communication with Lines of Business, such as Securities Lending, Prime Brokerage, as well as Operations and Technology partners.
  • Balance a workload of tasks across the department and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Identify and analyze areas for process improvement and ownership of specific tasks.
  • Responsible for being part of a team that is the main point of contact for our CIB business.
  • Reconcile and process Income Payments, including Dividends & Interest
  • Work with Custodians to ensure complete understanding of events and ensuring data flow correct.
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Broadridge applications
  • Experience with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of securities lending practices
  • Knowledge of DTCC for allocations and elections
  • Knowledge of non-US depositories (e.g., Euroclear; Clearstream)
  • 2+ years of experience in a Financial Services firm with a focus on servicing a Prime Services business.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workload to ensure all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner and in compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Familiar with the regulatory environment and maintaining strong controls
  • Experience working with custodians, depositories, agents and brokers to ensure timely and accurate processing of events to client accounts and to appropriately manage risk.
  • Ability to successfully achieve goals with a results focus

  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CRF 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
