The Contractor shall perform Family Nurse Practitioner duties includes provision of full range of out‐patient care to patients of all ages seen in the clinic, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, and referral to outside facilities as needed.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Hypertension / Diabetes, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Neurology, General Internal Medicine patient care

B. Medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, shock, sepsis.

C. Limited nutritional counseling.

D. Acute psychiatric problems, including suicide attempts.

E. Lower‐acuity complaints including viral illnesses, other infections, minor orthopedic problems, minor trauma.

F. Limited Urgent Care services.

G. Makes appropriate referrals and obtains appropriate consultations as necessary.

H. Follows the medical staff policies and procedures and the Kayenta Service Unit clinical practice guidelines when relevant.

I. Follows federal licensing, accreditation and regulating body standards from organizations such as: CMS, TJC, CLIA and IHS; and any other agency to which the facility is accountable. J. Interacts in a professional manner with patients and co‐workers.

Qualification Requirements:

Experience.

Completion of an approved residency in Family Nurse Practitioner, or completion of an approved residency in other specialties plus a minimum of 2,000 hours of relevant Family Nurse Practitioner experience, as approved by the Clinical Director.

Board Certified. EMR/EHR capable.

Computer skills

Certification.

Current Medical License in any state.

Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

Certification in BLS, PALS, and ACLS, or equivalent training as approved by the Clinical Director.

Current/Active DEA License required and enrolled in the Arizona Controlled Substances Prescription Monitoring Program.
