Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced business analyst to join our development team. This is a fast-paced environment with small teams focused on short interval development cycles. Our development incrementally builds upon existing data and leverages that information to make more predictive business decisions.

The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between users and developers for in-house projects. Projects consist of feature enhancements and maintenance for our proprietary project controls software, system integrations between various third applications (Vista by Viewpoint, BIS, Active Directory, Okta, Revit, Stratus) and reporting via Power BI and SSAS.

Location: This role will work primarily out of our Vancouver office in addition the Longview, WA office as we have team members based in both locations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees development team to execute assigned projects within deadlines and budgets
  • Develops, provides, or coordinates system training, training materials, and other educational tools

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with business staff to thoroughly understand business needs
  • Researches and analyzes pain points in business processes and applications
  • Responds to inquiries and provides advice to project stakeholders regarding current and potential processes and data
  • Collaborates with the Development Manager to finalize scope and deliverables collected from business stakeholders to ensure continuity of company data strategies
  • Develops detailed requirements for development and communicates the requirements to the development team and stakeholders, including scope and deliverable dates
  • Produces reports to communicate expectations and progress to management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties, including changes in scope and deliverable dates
  • Maintains and ensures proper documentation of systems and processes
  • Coordinates or performs testing of system modifications
  • Queries company databases for project analysis, verification, and reporting
  • Provides ongoing support for users via help desk tickets and training to collect ongoing information about user issues and difficulties

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to learn quickly and to creatively solve new problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail
  • Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency with Power BI
  • Familiarity with Vista by Viewpoint and its data
  • Knowledge of Tabular Editor and SSAS a plus
  • Knowledge of report building in Crystal Reports and SSRS a plus
  • Ability to collaborate as a team player

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required.
  • Five or more years of related experience
  • Some knowledge of construction industry preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000 per year, non-exempt (OT eligible)
