Job description
- Qualified individual will conduct welding operations on both big and small parts.
- The successful jobholder will be well-versed in multiple welding processes such as robotic welders, automated Mechanical welders, the set up and application of positioners, fixtures, grinding equipment, hand tools and have the capacity to use accurate measuring tools.
- Will read and follow specific written and oral instructions to set up and perform welding operations.
- ALL applicants must pass a Pre-Employment Weld Screen prior to being considered for this role. In addition, an online assessment which includes a basic mechanical comprehension section will be administered.
- Should be able to read and understand Blueprints and pass all weld certification tests.
- A minimum of two years' experience in Fabrication is required. Lesser experience coupled with professional training and/or previous certifications may be accepted.
- High school diploma/GED is needed for all BWXT positions, and graduation date will be confirmed via background check.
- Must be a United States Citizen.
- Must be able to work ANY SHIFT.
Will need to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check prior to hire date.
Please note: The hourly rate for this position is $33.669 and is complemented by a generous benefits package.
