Waterford Implementation Specialists positively impact early literacy learning of pre-kindergarten second grade children by providing consistent, ongoing, support to families, instructional leaders, teachers, and administrators as their school district implements Waterford Reading Academy. Implementation Specialists use their deep subject matter expertise in early education to support school districts through onsite and virtual training. They also support Family Academy which aims to empower parents to be their child's first teacher by educating them about foundational literacy, math, and social-emotional concepts.

This is a permanent work-from-home position. We are open to hiring the right candidate in any location in the United States. Still, we are particularly interested in individuals located in the Mid-East, and North East because we anticipate that is where the hire will spend the most amount of time working.

Job Responsibilities

  • Owns district wide program implementations while meeting individual schools' and teachers' needs
  • Builds and facilitates customized professional services for district and individual sites
  • Conducts Waterford Family Academy sessions.
  • Supports ongoing questions through onsite visits, email and phone calls
  • Conducts site-based coaching and models whole class and/or small group settings
  • Helps teachers understand how Waterford integrates into their daily routines and curricula
  • Integrates and encourages routines in the computer lab as well as classroom settings
  • Maintains project communications between internal and external partners. These may include newsletters for teachers and reflection and action planning meetings
  • Reviews implementation tasks, schedules, and resources, and makes adjustments or additions as appropriate
  • Measures and evaluates progress against the implementation plan and goals with site and district leaders
  • Attends and leads regularly scheduled implementation status meetings
  • Assists with the planning, executing, and supporting the most effective use of Waterford solutions for, virtual learning, summer school programs and all other initiatives and special projects

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 4-year college degree, preferably in education, and prior teaching experience
  • Experience with childhood early literacy strongly preferred
  • Experience mentoring, coaching teachers and/or leaders
  • Basic understanding of school district technology environments and product deployment
  • Expertise with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Strong problem-solving, good time management and the ability to take ownership of any situation
  • Develops positive cross-functional relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Must be driven, and always looking for ways to go above and beyond to meet goals with accuracy and accountability
  • Tackle additional special project responsibilities as requested by the leadership team
  • Proven ability to employ informed and honest verbal and written communication in order to achieve desired outcomes
  • Outstanding focus on customer service
  • Willing to travel 30% - 70% depending upon areas assigned
  • Able to work some evenings

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this full time position will pay an annual base salary of $68,000-75,000 depending on the education, experience and skill level of the individual we hire. In addition to your base salary Waterford has an annual bonus program. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering.
