GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Identity and Access Management Admin (IAM) reports directly to the Supervisor, Infrastructure and Network Operations. The IAM Admin is responsible for creating and managing user groups in the identity and access management system. Enforcing company policies and procedures related to identity and access management. Monitoring user activity in the identity and access management system. Reporting on identity and access management system activity.

FOCUS

Responsibilities

• Recommend improvements, corrections, remediation for associated projects or current internal processes.
• Engineer solutions to ensure that IAM solutions and services perform according to defined processes, meet defined policies, and comply with information security requirements.
• Integrate IAM systems with in-house and third-party applications for provisioning, identity authentication, developing connectors between IAM tools and systems resources, and system resource authorization.
• Evaluate, develop, and implement secure IAM solutions, based on approved enterprise security architectures.
• Manage the workflow within IAM including access provisioning, compliance, access management (including privileged accounts) and other functions in Information security.
• Integrate the IAM solutions with SIEM solutions to log and monitor security exceptions.
• Plan and manage Access Certification, RBAC & SOD related initiatives.
• Communicate IAM security risks and solutions to business and IT executives.
• Report on IAM baseline configurations and ensure baseline compliance.
• Provide advice to IT teams (projects) for IAM related settings, policies, and design configurations.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 45 to 55 hours a week
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data
• Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues in the field
• Must be able to communicate heavily through telephone, e-mail and in-person communications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS

• Knowledge of hardware and software configurations, network devices, and various technologies, and the ability to develop test Strategies and test plans for unfamiliar technologies with the input from business SMEs.
• Experience in working with a large complex technology organization, defining key access control challenges, and driving a program to systematically resolve high risk issues.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• In-depth understanding on Single Sign On (SSO) and SAML is must.
• Monitor changes to IAM in the risk profile of the critical business applications.
• Provide ad-hoc security advice and supports risk assessments whenever IAM expertise is required.
