PRIMARY FUNCTION

Lead the technology portion of design projects, including defining project scope, conceptualizing and documenting technology systems design, and supporting project during construction phase. Throughout the process, remain responsive, exceed client expectations, meet multi-disciplinary objectives, and adhere to project budget and schedule requirements. Support studio leaders in the development of proposals for new project opportunities, including level of effort estimates.

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Design Information technology, data/communication, safety/security, and audio-visual system projects from planning stages to completion.
• Meet with clients, conduct meetings, and lead project execution.
• Observe BICSI, AVIXA, and ASIS standards and industry best practices in design and product utilization.
• Attend client meetings with project stakeholders, architects, and engineers to discuss project requirements, design concepts, and systems operation.
• Work closely with internal company disciplines to achieve full coordination from inception to project completion.
• Effectively work with project teams in home office and other remote project or office locations
• Assist during public bidding process to achieve a master level of estimating accuracy.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors on new and existing products.
• Qualify equipment required for custom integration solutions.
• Develop cabinet layouts, equipment rack elevations and jack-field layouts, etc.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) or AVIXA CTS-D designation.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA, EIA/TIA BICSI, IEEE, ASIS, and AVIXA standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CSI format specifications.
• Ability to work virtually and communicate efficiently across geographies with multiple project teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate, achieve consensus, and provide guidance.
• Confident in client interviews and technical presentations.
• Experience with Revit.
