Job description
NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking ICC Special Inspector in our Panama City Beach, FL office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Primary duties performing structural building inspections and QA/QC tests (masonry, reinforced concrete, structural steel, etc.). Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections in accordance with code and project requirements
- Interpret project plans and specifications and ensure project requirements are being met
- Activities will include performing field testing and inspections
- Review plans and specifications, performing the inspections accordingly
- Communicate results with contractors, engineers and others
- Input results and observations into daily reports
Requirements:
- 2+ years construction materials testing and inspection experience is required
- ACI Certification
- ICC Certifications (1 or more are required): Reinforced Concrete, Welding, Structural Steel and Bolting, Masonry
- Proof of clean driving record
