Aquatic Engineering & Construction, part of Acteon Group, is a global leader in laying and retrieving flexible and semi-rigid products from the seabed in support of the renewables, oil and gas and telecommunications markets. The company has proven ability in shallow and deep water, and extensive experience of off- and onshore installations, transpooling, recovery and decommissioning.

Aquatic is looking to add qualified Hydraulic Technicians/Operators to the team in Morgan City. This role will also require periods of Offshore work. The Hydraulic Technician/Operator will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance, repair and preparation of equipment for offshore projects. They will also be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of equipment whilst on project work, both onshore and offshore.

Duties

• On-site support of all Aquatic operational activities, including personnel and equipment
• Responsible for hydraulic and mechanical aspects, ensuring correct operation, maintenance, rectification, and preservation of equipment throughout the duration of projects
• Liaise with and support Operations Supervisor throughout mobilization, operation and demobilization ensuring client requirements are being met as efficiently and safely as possible

Required

• Demonstrable competency in hydraulic/mechanical and/or electrical project work
• Minimum two years' experience in the operation, maintenance, and rectification of lay spread equipment
• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Certificates/Licenses required at hire or within the probation period (90 days):
• Transportation Workers Identification Credentials (TWIC)
• Must possess a valid, state-issued driver's license when operating company vehicles
• US Passport
• Sems Awareness
• Huet with OPITO
• Covid Vaccination
• Safe gulf, Rigging, Offshore Water Survival and Helicopter Underwater Evacuation Training certificates
