POSITION: HVAC Technician

Opportunity:

To complete HVAC maintenance and system installations for a portfolio of ~700 affordable single-family homes in the Kansas City metro for Purpose Residential; Whitestone’s wholly owned property management firm. We are looking for a go-getter who is tired of the internal politics and bias’s that are structured from the top down.

Whitestone & Co. is recruiting an HVAC Technician:

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Technician with single-family rental or multifamily maintenance experience, along with a proven track record of completing work orders with exceptional professionalism and in a timely manner and providing excellent customer service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Install new furnaces, A-coils, AC condensers, water heaters.
• Pull necessary permits to complete work in compliance with local municipalities.
• Work seamlessly with Maintenance Supervisor and other Maintenance Technicians to complete work in a timely manner and with the highest quality.
• Coordinate with residents to ensure access homes to complete work orders and meet the resident’s needs.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance program.
• Maintain all necessary HVAC certifications needed.
• Ensure repairs and renovations are compliant with local Housing Authorities and Section 8 program.
• Communicate effectively and proactively with both residents and their case workers to best accommodate their needs.
• Maintain courteous and helpful demeanor with residents, co-workers, vendors, etc.
• Performs other duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in HVAC Maintenance and system installations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Extremely organized and detail and deadline oriented.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
