Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the company benefit programs including group medical, dental, vision, wellness, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, flexible spending and 401(k) plan.
The incumbent will support an employee population of approximately 3500 employees in multiple states and will interface and coordinate closely with the Payroll Team, other company HR representatives and employees.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Maintains data integrity of the company benefits system (ADP-Workforce Now). Validates and audits data on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Coordinates all leave of absence requests and paperwork. Corresponds with employees, providers and insurance carriers.
  • Leads informational and training sessions on company benefits to new hires and open enrollment period.
  • Calculates the proper prorated paycheck benefits deductions for terms
  • Effectively interprets FMLA, ADA and state policies as they relate to leave of absences.
  • Manage the benefits email inbox.
  • Assists in the handling of benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.
  • Resolves any problems or disputes regarding provision of benefits
  • Responsible for generating company reports as needed.
  • Participates in staff and vendors meetings, conference calls and other meetings as needed.
  • Communicates with all necessary parties to ensure accuracy of all appropriate details.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Stays up-to-date on state and federal regulations concerning insurance and other employee benefits
  • Handle special HR projects and other administrative tasks as required by management.

Qualifications/Experience/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and 3-5 years benefits administration experience.
  • FMLA, COBRA, LOA administration knowledge
  • Must have excellent organization and interpersonal skills; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize work; working knowledge of benefit policies and procedures.
  • Ability to build strong relationships. Regularly interfaces with internal and external customers on all levels.
  • High professional standards regarding integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to quickly establish trust and creditability.
  • Positive, “can do” attitude and high energy.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office software and ADP Workforce Now.
