The Human Resources Generalist will be supporting the organization in overall day-to-day functions of the Human Resources Department. This includes recruitment, onboarding and new hire orientation, benefit administration and enrollment, employee relations, staff performance management, as well as training and development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; write and place advertisements, ongoing evaluation of recruitment strategy, collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conduct new-employee orientation, benefit orientation, monitor career path program, and employee recognition programs.
  • Write employee communications.
  • Manage Wellness Committee and Employee Ownership Communications.
  • Assist in benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Assist in benefit renewals and conduct companywide open enrollment programs annually.
  • Create and update job descriptions for all positions maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This includes safety training, anti-harassment training, and other exams and certifications.
  • Assist in performance management and safety programs

Qualifications Necessary:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of Human Resources experience.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
  • Recruitment Experience
  • Operational knowledge of Federal and State labor laws.
  • Ability to conduct presentations and training.
  • Exemplary interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in conflict resolution, problem solving, and analytical skills.
