Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator provides the first line of support for employees of Schuber Mitchell Homes. Responsible for administrative duties supporting all HR processes as well as entry and protection of data in our HR technology systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engages in direct interaction with employees at all levels of the organization, effectively communicating relevant information regarding HR processes
- Provides administrative HR support to all departments within the Company
- Conducts activities to supports established processes of the employee life cycle (i.e. recruiting, pre-employment checks and
- verification, onboarding, payroll, and employee communication)
- Enters and maintains employee records in HR technology
- Assists in design and creation of employee communication resources
- Run reports and provide employment-related information to managers
- Collaborates with other departments to support the HR function with additional projects, as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional office environment (experience in Human Resources environment highly desirable)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, & solutions-minded individual; driven to accomplish departmental goals and think creatively to
- solve problems
- Proven organizational & time-management required; able to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to build effective working relationships across the Company
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required, must be able to learn role-specific technology quickly
- English fluent, Spanish language skills desirable
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with low noise levels
- Prolonged periods of sitting required
- Occasionally required to walk, stand, lift, climb, pull, or push objects weighing up to 15 pounds
Hours & Schedule
- 40 hours per week (8am – 5pm, Monday-Friday)
- After hours and weekends required on occasion
- Position is exempt from overtime
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
